Foreign Coin eBay Arbitrage

Got an idea the other day... At coins shows I go to sometimes, I see alot of foreign coins for sale for next to nothing. Anyone ever buy them cheap & turn around & sell them on eBay to someone in that country for a nice profit? Seems like a win-win. They can buy for less than face & spend it in their own country.

Enlighten me.

I believe many countries around the world have re-valued their currencies, often numerous times, leaving their old currency to be traded in for the new currency within a certain time frame. Currency (coins and notes) not traded in on time for the new currency will become worthless (less PM and Numismatic value of course). Many of these foreign coins have little collector value and cannot be spent as legal tender in those countries anymore which is why they are often sold for cheap at coins shows and on ebay.
