?

Although it is somewhat hard to identify the denomination, I am almost certain that is a 1942 German (Deutsches Reich) 5 Pfennig coin made of Zinc.

The thing that can also change the value is the letter that is on it. A, B, D, E, F, G, and J are all letters that are on German coins. This one looks like a D, and its value is around $.20.

The letters represent the mint mark.
The "D" mintmark represents Munich.
The "J" mintmark in the coin I referenced is from Hamburg, the home port of the mighty ship 'Bismark' that sunk the 'Hood' in WW II--but I digress.
Don.
