Fortified position for lost village????

Walking thru the woods one day found an old rock wall maybe for protection some, openings that look like hallways, couple of old home sites and many marks on rocks. Now I need help to desifer all the clues to what I hope is treasure!!!! Credit for this thread goes to PROSPECTORMIKEL

Interesting, you got any good picks of the marks on the Rocks? Have you metal detected around it? Cool find, detective work now. Good Luck!

Lots of pictures of rock art they are soon to come and we metal detected just a small aRea and had just gotten the detector that weekend... my husband and I are new to all this and have been living here in nwa almost 4 years. We stumbled across this site because I have a weird eye for strange rocks!! This site isn't small to say the least so always give your opinion please. It's always appreciated!

First impression is rock wall, like near an old homesite.
Will probably have to see some more pictures to offer up any
ideas or thoughts.

That's not covered with anything, unless it is what appears to be carvings. The image is lifted from the first of two photos you posted in post #12.

Yes the far left of carving seems to be covered

I wish I could figure out how to circle things in your pics on post 12 and repost it. It looks like you have a lot of "things going on".

Is this sight pretty Secure? Try running you metal detector over it really well then get some of them leaves out of the way. See what's underneath. Try not to move any rocks, then have another look at it.
