I came across this while metal detecting at the scout camp. It was on the surface. It appears to be a fossil of tree bark, but I am not sure and would like to be able to put a name to it. The first photo shows the textured section of rock with 2 sets of track like indentations going from top to bottom. The other two photos show sections of the same rock that look like other bits of wood fossilized in the rock. I Have found a lot of fossils in my travels, but this is a new one for me. Any help you can give would be appreciated. Thanks for looking, stay safe and good luck to all.
