I found this in a northern Indiana farm field 35 years ago. My first thought was WOW! "A shark's tooth", but that's just a very uneducated guess. It measures 2" X 3 1/8" X 7/8" thick and tapers down to a sharp edge. All of the surfaces are slightly magnetic as well. Any ideas on what it might be?
4 out of 5 of the pictures are blurry, but with what I could see in the first picture I think you have a piece of schist rock with a band of quartz running through it.
Thanks for your input, Tamrock. It probably is just a stone, but here's some clearer images in hopes of stirring more interest. It's the relatively sharp edge that could give it tool potential.
