Found this unusual “stone egg” while preparing ground in Upstate New York and looking for help with identification.
Size is roughly hand-sized with an egg/potato shape. Surface appears weathered with small pits, embedded inclusions, and several areas that almost resemble impressions or markings. The material seems stone-like but also somewhat sedimentary/concretion-like in places.

- Found buried approximately 3 feet down in floodplain-type soil
- Location: Upstate New York
- Non-metallic appearance overall
- Tan/light brown exterior with darker oxidized areas
- Some exposed quartz-like grains/inclusions
- Irregular cavities and pitting throughout surface
