Hello Friends,
Hunted for 5 hours yesterday at 3 different sites, winter is definitely coming, my hands were freezing by the end of the day!
My first site was a corn field behind where an 1848 church once stood. The only finds of interest for an hour spent here was an oil lamp burner and 2 brass shell casings dated 1913 & 1915.
Decided to pretend I was pl8man (Glen) try my luck hunting the Kedron P.S. across the street!
This is an old school that's been rebuilt and expanded many times over the past 150 years. The playing field and the grassy areas look as if they've not been graded or disturbed for many years.
I decided to dig all high solid signals in the hopes of finding silver and just kept digging penny after penny after penny!
I did find a number of large penny drops though, in one hole alone I found 24 and in another hole 14!
I found a Loonie ($2), then what I thought was another Loonie, but this one turned out to be a $5 coin from Mexico!
I thought only pesos and US dollars were used in Mexico for currency?
After spending 3 hours at the school, I then moved to the tot lot in the next field, all I found there was 10 more pennies. Total change found yesterday $3.43.
This years detecting season has almost come to an end for me.
Ill be trading in my Garrett Ace 350 towards an AT Pro at the end of this year, as I never want to have to dig another penny again!
Happy Hunting everybody!
Dave

that's a lot of holes

Thankfully, a bottle of red wine and 2 extra strength Tylenol helped me forget the pain when I got home!
