Found 1700's & 1800's Silver Coins

[E-Trac-Ohio]

Yesterday I was finally was able to get out on the first hunt of 2026.
We've had a lot of sub zero weather here and over a foot of snow.
Hunted a lot where a Civil War era house burned down years ago.
Most of the the area was very iron infested and there was also no shortage of other types of junk metal.
About five years ago I was surprised to find a Carson City Seated Dime this far East in the US.
I was very surprised when I found a second one yesterday !

Well, I must say that is a wonderful way to start off the new year. I give you much credit for getting out there. We are expecting another 18 inches of snow here in Eastern Mass. I'm guessing my next hunt will be at some point in March....hopefully.

1877 cc is a key date coin ! Nice find

I don't see the1877 CC Seated Dime as a key date but the 1878 CC is one.

I seem to have a strange thing going on here with 1877 Seated coins ...
I just put the coins from this post in coin flips for the binder album.
The only other Carson City Seated Dime I found was about five years ago is also a 1877 CC in similar (VF) condition as this one.
Also, I've only ever found two Seated Quarters - they were found about 7 years apart and 20 miles from each other.
Both of them are 1877 S.
