Hunted a vacant lot where a old house was torn down two years ago.
As usual, there was no shortage of junk metal everywhere.
Note - The 4th photo is of a Non-Dug 1906 Canadian Large Cent.

Roosevelt Dimes - 1947 & 1954 D

Nice hunt! Two silver Rosies and a 1906 Canadian large cent is a solid day for a vacant lot. Those spots where the house came down a couple years ago are some of my favorites, the dirt is still churned up and things keep working their way back toward the surface. I have started keeping a bucket in the truck for all the junk metal I pull out of trashy sites like that, copper and brass bits go in my scrap pile at home, so even a hunt with no keepers still pays a little. Good hunting!

I agree KyleStar -
Vacant lots where old houses were are some of my favorite sites - I've made countless great finds hunting them over the years.

Very Nice!!! Congrats!!!
Thanks Digger RJ !
I found 1920 (last year minted) Canadian Large Cent here in Ohio two years ago - never thought I'd find another one.
Interesting to know ... the US stopped minting Large Cents in 1857 and Canada kept minting them until 1920 - So, 63 years longer then the US.
In reverse - Canada stopped minting Small Cents in 2012-2013 but the US kept minting Small Cents up until 2026. :dontknow:

I’ve still not came across a Large Cent😳 Still a big Bucket Lister for Me! Congrats!!

The Edward LC is in nice shape. A good hunt with the 2 silvers. Congrats
It seems that I get more Tokens (pre 1858)Vickies, and Georges than Edwards.

Seems like not that many Large Cents made it out to the Western US.
But look at the bright side ... seems like you guy's have better luck at finding Gold coins than we do.

No, it wasn't a surface find - the Canadian L.C. was about 6" deep.

Several years ago I found a few mid 1800's Canadian Bank Tokens and a KG 2 here in Ohio.
Also found a Nova Scotia "Thistle" Token while on a hunt in Maine 12 or 13 year ago.
