I finaly got to spend a day on the river. The tides were perfect but I think the lack of rain/ storms kept a lot hidden. Here's the heartbreaker ... The bottom was sticking out from under some grass/ algae . Was really hoping it would be intact. I can see how it would be broken it's one of the thinnest points I have found ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1431885247.744704.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1431885259.977922.webpImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1431885275.497778.webp

I also found a nice pecking/grinding stone

I like the water stain on the pitted hammer. What lithic are the points made from?

You had some nice finds. Thanks for sharing.

Nice finds, the second one looks like it's made from quartz and pretty good workmanship.
Pic. # 8 shows definite shaping and Pic# 9 definite use.
Your heartbreaker I must say doesn't have me convinced.
Please don't be offended, I see the shape, but the material looks way too soft, the kind you could snap into pieces real easy when wet, I could be totally wrong, pictures can lie if you know what I mean, and artifacts were sometimes made out of inferior materials at times due to prevailing circumstances and geography.
Regardless, nice finds, thanks for posting and more to ya!

Hey mark I've been finding artifacts for a long time I am sure that the broken one is indeed a artifact ... Maybe the pictures don't show everything. I believe it is a very old point with a lot of wear from the tides. But none the less it is a artifact.

You've got it in hand, I've only got pictures, I'll tKe your word for it, happy hunting!!
