Got 3 good ones

nice finds congrats HH

Awesome finds ;)!!!!

Ha Ha!! Bro! That bifurcate is an old point. It looks like a Mckorkel or a Hardaway! If you were hunting the spot I suggested to you, plenty more is there. Was that where you found them? It makes me happy to put people on good stuff. Sorry I missed out on the hunt. I'll catch you in the near future! Nice find bro. I'm not sure that you know how rare bifurcated points are. Early archaic!!

Nice finds.
I could be wrong but those round lobes on the stem and a few other things make that point look like a Lecroy to me..still nice and could be early or middle archaic.

This should help
Hardaway

No I didn't realize that it was that old. Man, that's really cool. How awesome is that to hold a tool that was used soooo long ago. its amazing!!

Gator: cool pics. it does look like the Lecroy. Now I need to do more studying!

Nice find for sure.
Good luck

This should help

Gator, that is a fine example of a Hardaway. The Lecroy just doesn't look like the ones we find here. I honestly think what NCn. Found is a Mckorkel. Most books show our area as the cut off for the Mckorkel.

This is how all of the Lecroy points I have look. Small stumpy points. Here is a Mckorkel found by Twitch. He found it practically in my back yard. You guys compare and draw conclusions based on your observation. Yours is just as good if not better than mine.

Nice piece either way!!

Okay, you guys are blowing my mind, Rusty yours does look like mine too. either/or they are all cool.
what books are you referring too? I obviously need to do some studying.

I remember when he found and posted that.. it was a toss up between the two.. either way.
There is variations in both..and many more LeCroy points in your area.. some have been resharpened some not..some flare a bit more on the base or are a bit straighter.
One trait they don't have is the outward facing "oricles" that the Hardaway point has since the Hardaway is really a side notched point.
