The rains have been very good for me lately..... I found this today in Central California. It's absolutely perfect! It's 4 1/4" long and made from Monterey Chert. There's a fair amount of caliche adhering to one side, but I figure I won't scrub it off. I'm pretty stoked! Any ideas as to style, age, and value?? (I also posted this in the Native American section.......)

Thanks,

Rick

Beautiful point! Maybe post it in the Indian artifacts forum. HH, Mike

That is a beautiful point!!
Plowed field? probably not...

Super find and I would not clean off the caliche if it was mine. If you ever decide to get a certificate of authentication it would make a nice center piece in a display...

In overstreet it looks like a nightfire point, 8000-5000 years old, they look like they are valued pretty good also, nice find

Very nice find. I personally would not clean it. Looks fine the way it is.
