Man Painter you are on fire dude, a super find:notworthy:Is the base broken or is it made like that.

Nice color in that one. Makes me want to do a hunt.

Just by the photos it looks like a complete archaic blade.
Is the bottom broken?
I don't see any sign of ears even slightly angling downward from the base of a stem like I'd expect to see on a Benton.. or any sign of a base left to make an ID. If its a broken stemmed point.
Super flaking on that one.

Thank y'all I love artifact hunting you just never know what your gonna find ;)

Is the color on it red and brown? Sometimes pics will come out a different color is why I ask.

Yes it is red and brown it is purty lol

That's a killer blade!!!!! We should all go to Painter's house to hunt. He's got the goods.

Wow- that one pretty point/blade! The flaking is beautiful! The farm is along some water- a river? Man- all I have to look at right now is s-n-o-w. again...
So...I'm free next weekend...8-) Yakker

That sure is a pretty flaked point, and nice and thin! :icon_thumleft:

That transverse flaking makes me think it's a lot older piece than what you think. That type of flaking is normally associated with Paleo type pieces.

Really wow that really makes my day grim thank you for posting it means a lot !!!!!!

Is it oblique transverse? It almost looks like a round base copena in its shape :icon_scratch: I don't know but cool piece.
