I went out this morning looking for some place new to look around that I hadn't done yet....and I found one. It didn't look like much but you could tell that the neighborhood had been using it for awhile. I really wasn't prepared to do a large area since I had my 4 X 6 coil and it is a little small for covering the area I like to cover on something like this. But once I started, I couldn't stop until I just couldn't bend anymore. The first target was a little .925 silver ring, that got by blood pumping. Then what seemed like forever I found a Kennedy half dollar, so I couldn't stop there either. Oh yea, Mastereagle, I found a zipper pull, too. I ended up with a bunch of clad, mostly pennies. The ratio here just isn't right for one of these fields. Tomorrow I go back with my 9 1/2" coil to work on it some more. I'm curious to see if the coin ratio turns out different. All in all, it was a pretty good day.

Nice looking area. Is that an open plot of land or a park of some kind? Good days work considering the coil you used. Better luck next trip.

Holy cr@p piggman! You dug 70 pennies in one day! You get an A++++ for effort with that one! That is a strange ratio for sure. I only hunt for old deep stuff, though I NEVER pass up a quarter signal. Clad quarters are like the consolation prizes on game shows IMO. Nice to have a couple of bucks worth when you dint find much silver, pays for the gas. I normally dig as many clad quarters as pennies. Seems like the earth is full of clad quarters anymore. Awesome ring count for the year!
