The pentagram is typically used around wiccan type practices, and the symbols strike me as more of elemental, rather than zodiac.

Alchemy meets witchcraft? Might be a good luck charm for metal detecting seeing as how the symbols typically are the metals, and the elements that go with them. Hard to tell in the picture, but atleast a few of these are a match.
