I found this button while looking for arrowheads along a lake shore. There was revolutionary battles fought along this lake. Could this button be from that time period? If not what time period would you think. It has on the back gilt, 6 stars, and what appears to be laurel. The front is smooth. Is this a button that a officer might wear?

Nice button,

It's a early 1800's flat coin type colonial button. I'd get back there and check around more.

Nice find! I'd get right back there, even if you have to play hooky :icon_jokercolor:
