Found Carving

Hello everyone. I've found a carved head down in our stream a few years ago. I'd been trying to dig out a piece of jasper and this was crusted onto the top. Any ideas? I'm in the Willamette Valley in Oregon

I guess I’m the minority on this one seems too deliberate in the pattern and there doesn’t appear to be any extra areas that don’t fit, the entire piece fits into the head carving. At the least I wouldn’t toss it.

That’s what I was thinking, my vote is for carved
