Today we went back to the closed church in small town OK (3rd time). I am posting pics of all three trips. The first time we went, a few months ago, we found a 1902 V nickel.Today's finds are the 10k gold ring and the 1952 dime. I believe we had 1 wheatie today and of course my collection of pulltabs continues to grow. The total is as follows. Its funny, yesterday a guy told us we should check the church up the street because people still go there and he has a friend that metal detects who does pretty well. I thanked him while telling myself its hunted out and I don't really want clad, BUUUTTTT went and checked it out for awhile today anyway. The only thing I really found there was the silver dime. A part of me went "nana nana na". It feels double good to find something good in a "hunted out" area. Got bored with cans and went a block up to MY area. Spent a little time buying neighborhood kids push up pops and letting them play with the detector. Once they left...GOLD and needles. Tomorrow, I think we are off to the lake to see what people may have lost. Thanks for looking and reading.
1902 Nickel
7 Wheaties with the earliest being 1919
1946 Nickel
1952 Dime
Broadman Supplies Baptist S S (Sunday school pin) Others I've found online say they are from the 1950's
10K Gold Initial (S) Ring. In the hole with this was a hypodermic, thank goodness it was capped.
Oh and I almost forgot the AWESOME tag that was stamped "Dispose of properly" partially ripped.
And all the can slaw removed from the area.
