I'm not sure what I found. I found it about 8 inches down at an old dairy farm field. My best guess is it's a bent-up old hand made copper spoon. What does it look like to you? It appears to be made of hammered copper. You can see what looks like tool/hammer marks over the entire piece. The left side (as pictured) is rectangular then traditions into round before flattening out into the spoon like end. The round portion seems to be smoother or worn smooth compared to the rest. The entire piece measures 5 1/2 inches long. Any ideas???

It could be anything but I am still leaning toward very old copper/alloy spoon. Kinda hard to see in the pics I posted.
After a lot of looking online I have found what the "spoon" and "coins" might be. Is it possible that they are Roman?
Here is a picture of a Roman spoon and Roman coins that look very similar.

Are you in a country the Romans occupied or lived in? Then it could be (the measuring tape is in cm so I'm guessing Europe...).
If you live in Texas that's another story.

The discs look nothing like a (recognizable) coins to me. But there are people in here, experts on coins, maybe repost it as "is this a roman coin"...

I live in San Diego Calif. I know Roman just doesn't make sense but it's the only thing on the web that looks right. I will be going back to the same area to hunt and try to find other pieces to help make sense of what they are.

Ok, a lot of suspected roman artifacts "popping up" on TNet in the USA lately hahaha.

I could live with the Romans landing in Virginia but it beats me how they ever reached California!

Blownbudget go out there and bring in some more finds and lete us know.
Wish you best of luck!
