Any idea what this could be?

Definitely slag glass (google-search that name), not a natural rock or mineral.

I see that's your very first post at TreasureNet... so let me say, Welcome to T-Net's "What Is It?" forum, the best place on the internet to get unknown objects CORRECTLY identified (and time-dated). Never trust what Ebay sellers say -- or even Worthpoint.

man that term slag glass really bugs me......I hate how it has been adopted to describe glass like this that is not slag at all! Slag definition is glass byproduct from metal smelting/refining usually iron. This red color for sure did not come from metal refining(iron slag is usually muddy yellows greens and browns), but rather was most likely from an old glass furnace being emptied out. The clear glass mixed with it was either an attempt at "washing" the crucible/furnace, or it was what was left over in the bottom of a furnace when it was being torn down and reconstructed. It actually reminds me of the fenton red color( a cadmium selenium based color that strikes with certain temp patterns), where by chance was this found?
