found lead flint patch

I found this a while back but was not sure what these pieces were at first.
Just thought I'd share since I just ID'd the piece.
I will add some other finds from the site as well.

Gator, that looks like a lead bale seal to me. You think something was cut from the middle and used to hold a gun flint?
 

No.. there were a number of these made and supplied to the Second Dragoons who occupied the site.
They were wrapped around a flint to help hold it secure when tightened down in the cock.
The Black and white photo I supplied is from an archaeological report showing several examples and giving a full explanation.
I have found bale seals there though.
They are quite different.
