A week or so after work I found a nice old coin and on the way home I stopped at a bakery . Well I got home and could not find the coin.I thought it must have fallen out of the car in the bakery parking lot. Finally after the third time and the first real deep search I found right where I had looked twice before. I thought the coin was a goner for sure! The coin is a 1766 zoll phenning. Zoll means customs so it may have been some kind of toll coin but just a guess. The front right hand side of the coin says Pfalz. That is the area of Germany that it was found in. The coin is real dark so the pictures did not turn out very good. This is the first one of these that I have seen so any information would be outstanding. It was a good feeling to see it again. This was a good lession about not being careless with my finds. Thanks for being a great group of people. HH
