Hey guys, brand new here. From Washington state, found these on my 4th hunt ever! Starting to get a feel for my machine now that I have some good hours into it. Anyway found a 1914 Penny and a 1991 D Penny! Pretty excited about the over 100 year old coin! :icon_thumleft:

Nicely done,,, Now if that was a 1914D penny,, you would have a semi key date.
When you get a chance, pick up " Yeoman's Redbook " It is a guide to U.S.Coins
and very helpful in identifying and pricing coin finds. Good Luck and Happy Hunting

Congrats and welcome to the forum. Just wait until you pull an Indian Head, Buffalo, Mercury...etc..etc..etc. The excitement of the find still gets me every time. Keep learning your machine and you will pulling this stuff on a regular basis.

Way to go on that wheat. I remember my first like it was yesterday....

Hey welcome to the forum. That's a pretty nice Wheat cent for being your first one. The 1914 s is worth at least $16 in G4 condition.

schweeeeet !!!....now the fun begins...welcome !!

Thanks guys, ill definitely be heading back to that spot again. Took a quick peak into Yeoman's Redbook, looks very helpful.

Nice Old Wheatie there ! Isn't it interesting how the 101 year old wheat cent held up way better than the 24 year old zincoln !

Welcome and great finds! Keep up the good work there's silver n gold to come!

LIKE THEY SAY WHEATIES THE BREAKFAST OF CHAMPS ......

Welcome and Wonderful find. I love me some Wheaties. Congrats and Happy Hunting. I also love that area you are in.

Isn't it a pity that future generations will not have any pennies to find other than pre 1983 coppers? I think we should take Canada's lead and just discontinue the penny- they are worthless garbage, most get thrown out when I find them ( half dissolved of course)

PRetty cool! I've yet to find one that I'd consider a "legitimate drop" from the time period. I'm in Idaho, and the only 4 wheats I've ever found were literally on TOP of the ground. One exception was a wheatie from 1941 that was on the surface under a tree at an old home. it "might" be a legitimate drop...

Old coins are MUCH harder in the Pacific Northwest. Keep at it! and GREAT FINDS!

:)

Keep at it and learn that machine Plus make sure that there is not a D on the 1914.Happy Hunting in the future for you.

Congrats on pulling your 1st wheat. :occasion14: I see some silver in the near future for you.
