Hey guys, brand new here. From Washington state, found these on my 4th hunt ever! Starting to get a feel for my machine now that I have some good hours into it. Anyway found a 1914 Penny and a 1991 D Penny! Pretty excited about the over 100 year old coin!
Nicely done,,, Now if that was a 1914D penny,, you would have a semi key date.
When you get a chance, pick up " Yeoman's Redbook " It is a guide to U.S.Coins
and very helpful in identifying and pricing coin finds. Good Luck and Happy Hunting
Congrats and welcome to the forum. Just wait until you pull an Indian Head, Buffalo, Mercury...etc..etc..etc. The excitement of the find still gets me every time. Keep learning your machine and you will pulling this stuff on a regular basis.

Isn't it a pity that future generations will not have any pennies to find other than pre 1983 coppers? I think we should take Canada's lead and just discontinue the penny- they are worthless garbage, most get thrown out when I find them ( half dissolved of course)
PRetty cool! I've yet to find one that I'd consider a "legitimate drop" from the time period. I'm in Idaho, and the only 4 wheats I've ever found were literally on TOP of the ground. One exception was a wheatie from 1941 that was on the surface under a tree at an old home. it "might" be a legitimate drop...
Old coins are MUCH harder in the Pacific Northwest. Keep at it! and GREAT FINDS!
