This time in my own yard
It was only about 2 inches down, strong mid 80s signal even with a round chunk of iron next to it.
Was just out for a half hour or so then it started to rain. Plus I really wanted to go in and see what it was.
Even after washing it off, it showed no details,

but I could see it had been flattened, like a penny placed on a railroad track.
So into the boiling hydrogen peroxide it went, for about 30 Min.
The result
No date but pretty sure its a Braided Hair Large Cent (1839-1857)

When it stops raining I will have to see if there are any left that are not squashed
