Wow, I imagine that Excalibur II must be quite a workout!

Yes it is! I have recently started using the hip belt but my arms are already jelly and sore from the last week hunting non stop. Just gotta find my groove [emoji106]

Yup im liking it. I need to learn the machine better but still digging alot of targets. Its not the best spot to learn where i am as i am trying to be careful and not make too many plugs, but also not wanting to skip over a good target. Dancing the dance. Next ill prob be looking at the PP mod [emoji106]

With the right balanced shaft its night vs day.

I also have various hip mount setups... some invented by me... and one purchased one I have never even used one time.

Also... after some years... swinging muscles become adjusted anyway.

Setup right... then practice relaxing arm to a comfortable angle... and let the weight "sway"...

one of the problems MDr's in general IMO have is they aggressively swing... this causes premature fatigue and also miss items.

All my detectors have been "heavy" anyway.

Heavy duty that is :)

Running in 0 disc, 6-7 sens, volume max, threshold until buz. I tried pp today but with so much iron around it was very time consuming for every target to stop and switch. Tried keeping it in pp mode for a little and dug 3 straight nails before switching it to back and forth again.

Thank you. Yes i just got the anderson carbon fiber over under mount. It made a difference but i was still getting sore quick. The hip mount was better but when i noticed it still was sore after awhile with nothing but the shaft and coil i knew i had just wore my swinging muscles out to where they need some time to regain strength.
I have started swinging much slower. The lighter shaft definitely helped me keep the coil flatter for longer throughout the entire swing.
