My friend just found this on the beach in Cancun Mexico with his ATPro any ideas on what it could be? A reliquary relic pendant?

what ever it was it appears to be made of plated pot metal due to the visible corrosion. Just my honest opinion

What size is this? What metal? If it's lead or foil, and about the size of a quarter, it looks a bit like a wine bottle seal.

I think toddbbq is spot on. Nice focus todd. Zinc die cast is the a by product of steel production. The foundries used to throw this stuff away but then someone realized they could cast small décor and toy items out of it because it would pour just above the temp of lead without all the toxicity! It was in the toy sphere until the oil industry won out with refinery resin products that cost just a fraction to harvest and could be injection molded with incredible detail. In my youth, I watched the evolution of cap pistols changed by the zinc die-cast revolution. There were fantasy pieces to historic replicas!
