What is it? This 24K beauty was barely sticking out of the sand.
Top bar measures 4cm
Drop bar with s-hook to bottom of pineapple is 4 cm
One open pineapple has the letter "S" formed by a sea nymph
The other holds a Portuguese man o war.
Two people well-versed in 1715 finds indicate this is certainly of the era.
(My new family crest with motto "I'm sweet but don't screw with me.") My maiden name begins with "S"!
So curious on many levels-who made it? Was a passenger wearing it during the wreck? Was it on a rosary headed to its commissioner in Spain?
Really need to know the right appraiser to contact so I may put a value on the Golden Sea Nymph Pineapple.
Oceans of joy to you and yours.
