So I decided to work a visible corner of an old foundation and dig every signal. All the bottles, the mason jar lids, the ball and the hunk of iron in the top left were recovered from an area about 3' long, 13" wide, and 11" deep. The other 2 hunks of iron were found nearby. The piece of angle is made out of copper with rivets and the old tag (my favorite) has a 3 stamped on it. Thanks for looking!!!

Nice! One of my best cellar hole sites was found after discovering the trash dump.

git down & dirty, some old iron can be better than a silver coin, glass is just a bonus. so wallow on:laughing7:

So I've found buttons and buckles from the 1700 and 1800s, and glass from the Depression. I've got a lot of digging to do! hahah!

Heck yea!! looks like a good time to me!!
great finds!!

Great relics I like to make display cases of my relics looks like you have a good spot!! Thanks for sharing your finds

Your ball item is a bedknob I believe and the iron item next to bottle is either a Clothes iron or a rest for an Iron or a foot to a woodstove.Cool digs.Your little glass that is green is real nice.

I figured out pretty quickly that the green glass was a shaker of some sort. A quick search of the interweb revealed that it is Depression Era glass. A bed knob! I hadn't thought of that! It is square on the inside, but looks too small to be a door knob. I also thought the one piece of iron was a holder for an iron. Thanks for the ideas!
