Found something kinda neat today!

I was in the middle of nowhere, wandering aimlessly, taking my detector for a walk and this popped up.
Posted it in the What is it forum, and the Jewelerguy found a cufflink with the same image.
This one, however, measures 1 1/8 inches in diameter, and is made of stamped brass.

It sure looks like the top to a button that had an iron back. Which has long since rotted away. No idea what vintage though. Looks pretty old.

1 1/8 inch diameter is large for a button. It does look like it attached to something else.
