Went out digging about 4 hours today. Found a first for me, War of 1812 infantry pewter button, and hand full of flat buttons. This homesite I found today is special because I believe it's my third great-grandparents place

Nice assortment of finds. Congrats

Special site and wonderful finds .. That combination can't be beat! Congratulations on both!

Very cool finds! :icon_thumleft: I like the 1812 button and the homemade one!

Great finds, Congrats!!!

It's amazing that ring is still intact.

Very nice collection of buttons, congratulations! :occasion14:

Looks a good ancient site

That's amazing if you think about the war of 1812 and how long ago it was and that was dropped to be found in 2018 really cool post Great job!!!!!!

I think the cool part is that’s your GGGrand parents place!! I’d love to hunt my grand parents home in New Jersey that was in the family from 1744 to 1965. That would be a weird knock on the door for sure.

Those look like some very nice button finds. I'd take a collection like that.

Congratulations sure like the old buttons nice finds

Man I got to say I’m lovin those buttons. That 1812 with the script and that homemade button would’ve lit me up. Congratulations

very good finds !! the story of the family home really makes it special !!

Haha, that four hole button is a trouser button. Common at 1812 and era sites. Way to go on the Infantry pewter!!
