Thought Id share a rare find I made last week with everyone. Seeing its a Native American Celt and I posted it in the artifact forum I know some wont see it there so I will share it here. Its made from a hard stone smoothed, shaped and polished by hand and is from the middle Woodland period. It was used to make canoes and chop down trees. Found in northern Georgia. Thanks, rock

That is an awesome find. Congratulations. That would make a great add to any collection.

very nice find

Thanks it has a bit wear problem but it is from use Im guessing they were chopping a tree and the handle broke and it fell in and they couldnt find it. By the patina on it Im thinking it laid their till I found it. Nothing like finding treasure of all kinds.

That is an awesome find. Great shape! Congratulations!

Simply amazing. Congrats!

I was lucky cause it was between 2 fields laying in the creek. Owners said they have let point hunters hunt their fields for years. I wonder how many walked past it till I found it :)

Nice find rock. What kind of stone is that?
