Does anyone have any idea what this could be? I was hiking along a trail near Put-in-Bay, Ohio. It was bent up but I straightened it out. I have no idea what it could be. It is copper and has two pins on the back about .75” long. Maybe to pound into wood? It has a cross ingraving in the lower left corner and a weird inscription on the upper right hand corner. See pics. Any help would be appreciated, thanks

I haven't seen one like it however due to the way it's made I would say it's 100 years old or less. Something decorative.

It is a hood emblem/ornament off of an old Buick.

Many thanks for all the input. I would never guessed it was a hood ornament. Anxious to get to classic car shows to see It on the car. I would be interested to know what the emblem is on the upper right. I will have to do some research. Thanks again everyone. Now I have to figure out how to mark it as solved.

Probably from the ancient Buick tribe!
