Found this nice conical fibula/brooch from Vendel period today! 550-600 AD.

We dont have permission to clean things older than 1537 or coins older than 1650 AD here in Norway, because the museum claims the right of the findings.
I knew that.:thumbsup: Congrats on doing the honest thing.

Over here 6th C is the start of our Saxon Migration period, does this fall into the 'Saxon' bracket or is it locally made?

In Norway we call this the vendel period (550-800), Migration period in Norway is 375-550. These conical fibulas are found in whole Norway, but most of them come from Inlands in Norway were i live. Conical fibula’s/broochs was top fashion for women in a short period. 550-600 AD. Sorry if my English isn’t the best!
