Hi all,
I had a chance to visit the 1869 house again this morning, where I found the Indian Head penny last weekend. I also checked the next door neighbor's yard to death, but only came up with 2 Mercs, one of which I gave to the homeowner (it was a '45). Here's a pic of the other one:
I also found this military-style button..it was 2 1/2 feet away from the spot I dug the Indian. I don't know how I missed it. If anyone can account for its authenticity I can use some help, since I don't know one button from the other.
I also found this silver-dollar-sized token, not sure how old it is.
