found this marble at a fairly old site

It's in beautiful condition..

Most antique marbles dug 'in the wild' are found at old dump sites outside of small towns. These were usually floor sweepings. The garbage was burned to kill critters. A lot of the marbles were melted along with other glass objects. Some marbles were outside the fire and remain in perfect condition. Looks like you're got an early Akro Agate Co. marble.
