Very nice find!

Did you by chance find remnants of ash in the same hole? Reason I ask is I dug one from a small campsite and mine was down deep in ash. It still has ash cemented to the flask. If you look close you can see deer on mine. flaskpowder.jpg

That is a really great find!! I love old powder flasks, but have never found one, I believe they are fairly rare! Congrats!

No their wasn’t any ash in the hole. I do think it was an old home site.
