Very nice finds. I've spent days with lesser finds than that. Congrats.

nothing rare, but I never consider any wheatie "garbage", especially older wheats. If nothing else they tell you you have a good site you are hunting, and there is a great chance of silver in the area. Good finds and welcome to tnet!!!

Silver is close by!!!

Just recently I went through my mom's coin collection she had hundreds of Wheaties. I decided to look into the fact if they were worth anything. If u do a google search for "value of coins", I belive the second site on the
list is Price Guide -PCGS, and u can look up every year that was made and where it was minted. Some of the dates will list a time where that coin was once auctioned. I was amazed with how many of the lower dated Wheat pennies went for $600 to over 2K in some occasions, I believe the price differences were due to condition of the coin.

I will go all 'Zen' here and ask -
"did you find them in the garbage?"
Cheers, mike

There all worth at least a penny. Some key dates, which I don't know which ones, are worth more. The "S" San Francisco mint ones versus the "D" Denver mint ones seem to be worth more from what I know. There are alot of D's and not many S's in circulation during the time.

Date and Approximate Mintage
1909-S - 1.8 million $45
1909-S VDB - 0.5 million $550-$1500
1914-D - 1.2 million $125
1922 (No mint mark) - unknown (D is missing) $415
1931-S - 0.9 million $50

there will be days when you'll consider finding those old wheaties " a great day". the old ones are nice, and as was said before, those old wheats are probably near silver. good luck !!!

Not rare but not garbage, they are worth more then a penny. Hold on to those
