Keep stacking those silver rings! Statistically gold tends to appear when you are finding silver at the steady rate you're currently at, here's hoping! :treasurechest::metaldetector::thumbsup:

You are on the right track and Iโ€™m sure the gold will show up when you lease expect it. Keep digging the mid tones on the ATPro and as long as you are getting the nickels, tabs, and small bits of can slaw you will find the gold. As far as the VDI numbers go it all depends on the quality of gold (10k, 14k, 18k) and the size and depth of the ring. When I use my ATPro in the water I have found gold rings and earrings with VDI numbers as low as 34 and as high as 76.

The gold below all came from the same day water hunt and all with VDIs below 48, but it is all light 14k stuff, not heavy rings.

Keep swingin and good luck.

Thanks, tnt-hunter, that is helpful to know! I have really been paying attention to mid tones more than ever. I just had no idea what a gold ring might ring up as on the VDI. At least I have some idea now. I have a Garrett ACE 400, not an ATPro, which is nicer. Everyone has been so helpful to me on this site, that is why I think I have been so successful, because I listen to their advice. :icon_thumleft:
