Tesoro compadre, which can find needles, but looking for something with a bigger coil/detects deeper, waterproof salt/fresh user friendly.

Whack it with a hammer, if it's good old forged iron, it will not hurt it. Gotta see more detail without the disguise. It will fall off if you smack it a few times.

It reminds me of the base of toilets once removed... No offence, if the material could be cleaned off maybe it could be identified more easily...
