Found while creek walking in Natchez, MS...possible pestle?

I posted this in "What is it?" and the general concensus was a pestle of some sort. Found on a creek bank in Natchez, MS. Can anyone shed a little more light on it? I just recently started metal detecting and creek walking and this was my first (well, actually my 11 year old step daughter's) first find.

Hard to tell from the photos, but it's not perfectly round. More of a square shape that has had the edges worn down over time.

Any info is appreciated.

hmm never saw anything like that, but maybe nose/ear attachments or jewelry ?

IMO from the picture looks like a creek smoothed stone. Is there any type of a groove abraded onto it's surface?

Looks like a creek tumbled natural stone to me as well. But what do I know !!

Natural stone. I don't anything in the pictures that would lead me to think otherwise. Sorry.

It's definitely a solid stone. Probably nothing, but pretty cool looking. Found about a quarter mile downstream of the Natchez Grand Village on the bank of a stream that runs adjacent to the Village property.
