Found this on a Florida Beach.

I am new to the fossil world. I Found this yesterday while metal detecting a Florida Treasure Coast beach. I think I know the basic answer, but always value more knowledgeable information. Thanks

I’d say Turtle shell, but I’m not much help beyond that
 

I would say turtle shell based on ones I have found at Sharktooth's Hill in Bakersfield CAlif.

I believe the correct term for turtle shell plates is “scutes”. These fragments do resemble turtle shell scute fragments I have collected.
