I took a walk yesterday on a section of a 6.6 mile long Pilot Mountainn hiking trail. I walked right past this the first time. On my way back through the trail, I stopped to go take a picture of Pilot Mtn. from an unplowed field that's beside that trail. I did a quick search in the field but didn't find anything. Then, I got back over to the hiking trail and about stepped on this rhyolite point. The material is surely exhausted; it has probably lived quite a life. It seems like this one just popped outta the ground. Not expecting to find anything really, I sure did give this one a new home. Happy hunting to all!

Well done! You have a good eye- it's not so easy to see pieces 'out of the blue'. Thanks for showing- and HH! Yak

Welcome to the site and you got a nice one on that hunt. Looking forward to seeing more of your finds, rock
