Four Boxes of Halves with Pics, Monthly Totals

Folks,
I wanted to post a couple of shots and report on the take from this week's four boxes, some nice variety in the coins this week and some pretty 40%ers. I pulled a good amount of silver along with some South American coins, a couple of which showed silver edges but the "reeding" just didn't look right, so I didn't get too fooled by them.

Total take was 3x 90% and 24x 40%. The foreign coins were from Panama (three Balboa's one of which is brilliant), Venezuela, and Ecuador.

The numbers by box and the pics follow.

Box 1: 1x 90% (1964 Ken); and 5x 40% (3x 1967 and 2x 1968-D). This box had a 40% "Ender" got to love that!

Box 2: 5x 40% (1967, 2x 1968-D, and 2x 1969-D). I was lucky on this one, one roll had three of the 40%ers.

Box 3: 1x 90% (1964 Ken); and 3x 40% (2x 1966, and a 1968-D).

Box 4: 1x 90% (once again 1964 Ken); and 11x 40% (1966, 2x 1967, 4x 1968-D, and 4x 1969-D). Once again, this box had a roll with three 405ers, I was delighted.

August's totals were below last year, but respectable given the amount of pressure and the price of silver. Total take for August 2011 was 7x 90% (all '64 Kennedy), and 69x 40%ers.

Your "Medio Balboa" is a Panama 1/2 dollar. It is on the exact same planchet as US coins (except maybe for 1965?). If it is pre 1966, it is 90% Ag, if it is 1966-1970, it is 40% Ag, just like our Kennedy Halves. I'm not sure if 1965 is 90% or 40% but is Ag.

Thanks much for the pointers.
Regrettably, the foreign coins are all modern. The Balboa's are 1975, 1980, and 2008. The Venezuelan coin is 1977, and the Ecuadorian coin was minted in 2000.
I saw a good number of the Balboa's during a deployment to Panama during some "un-pleasantries" in 1989. After returning to Camp LeJeune after that deployment we saw a good number of the Panamanian coin currency circulating because the coins were "same size and weight as U.S. Coins.
I keep all the foreign coins and pass them on to other collectors when I find one interested.
