type 2 SLQ look at that 1918 really close!!!!!!!
if its an 8 over 7 its worth $$$$$$ (1500 in g-4 condition)

I was just about to say that. First look and see if it has a S mint mark, if it does, take a close look at the 8 to see if it was stamped over a 7. From the picture, the 8 looks to have a flat top to it, like it is the top of a 7 (could be the lighting in the picture though)

It's a "D".

The following quote is from a Canadian coin dealer in Calgary, Alberta here:
http://www.calgarycoin.com/modern/cdcent.htm

"The 1907 coins with an "H" mint mark (below the leaves on the reverse, centred under the date) were struck at the Heaton mint in Birmingham, England."

By the looks of where the dirt is on that coin, any mark would be covered up.

P.S. Obviously, the prices on that website would be in Canadian currency.

Still a nice find. Even here in Canada, its not everyone who finds a 100 year old penny. And the rest of your find for the day is nothing to sneeze at neither.

SMOKIN' Quarter. worth about $65 in it's condition. Definately a "D" mint mark on it. DO NOT POLISH IT! leave it just the way it is!

And where was this spot again? ::)
