Second Sunday in a row that I went diggin' at schoolgounds. I hit a nearby country schoolyard that has given me wonderful silver rings and goodies, but I thought would be hunted out by now. While swinging out on the back lawn, Julio chirped a loud, clear tone and gave me a solid, repeatable 46 on the VDI, (just like the 10K gold ring last weekend...) Dug down to find a bright, shiny gold ring 2" below the sod. Not only gold, but marked as such, " W 14K B." It has three small diamonds to boot! Made me very happy.

Also pulled a bling ring with faux stones out of the same field, rang up a 66 so obviously silver wash over copper. A real surprise was the old Wolf Scout neckerchief slide. A pretty mundane find and common to most schoolyards. This one, however, was nearly a foot underground and had lots of green verdigris forming on it. It had been there quite a while. Rang up a bouncy 81. Also grabbed about $3.00 in clad from the lawn in three hours.
