Is this a way to get fees now from other countries who sells baguettes ?! If so, we should protect our BMW´s, Mercedes and Porsche too by the UNSECO as quick as possible
I am SO tired from all this sociopaths in the politics....
Fresh baguettes are indeed a treasure and worthy of celebration - especially after a long voyage being sustained by stale or mouldy bread and ships biscuit.
In France, it's illegal to make bread with ingredients other than flour, water, yeast, salt. That's it by law.
It is most amazing though. Intended to be consumed the same day.
Seems unenforceable though. Maybe it's just for commercial bread.
I learned how to make French fries at one of the first McDonald's after school in 1959. I didn't know it at the time it was a French method. They were cooked twice. Once to blanch. Just to the point of being translucent, cooled, then to fry. It's still the best way IMO. A close 2nd is precooked frozen fries cooked in a skillet in oil not the oven.
I'm not French but I believe the French cook like no other culture.
