HAMBURG - A 43-year-old Newark, N.J., man was charged with retail theft in relation to an incident at 11:16 a.m. Sunday at Cabela's World's Foremost Outfitter, 100 Cabela Drive.

Troopers said asset protection personnel of Cabela's observed (name removed) conceal a $5.99 fishing lure in a fishing bag he was purchasing.

%$#@ purchased the bag and other items, but left the store without purchasing the fishing lure, troopers said.

He was transported to the state police station at Hamburg and, upon processing, was issued a non-traffic citation for retail theft and released, where he must respond within 10 days.

They couldn't Just say Cabela's,
They had to advertise them as
World's Foremost Outfitter,
& Give the address.

They should let him Keep the Lure :laughing7:

"asset protection" ? How about Changing the name to
"Advertising Specialists" :D

Good point.

That's as funny as the purple pill giving the "warning" on TV, that if it last more than four hours, you should see a doctor.

Sublininal avertising is everywhere. :laughing7:

Good catch.

Wonder how it could have the side effect of "delayed backache"? :read2: What the heck is IN that pill?

I could never see a downside to that warning. How many of us would give the world to be a tripod for four hours. ;D ;D ;D The only reason I could see to go to the doc if that happened would to get a refill on the prescription. :laughing7:

I see Cabela's promotes 'Catch and Release' too!
