Last Sunday in miserable wet and windy conditions the Whites TDI beachunter sniffed this out in the sands...

Composition - Gold (.917)
Weight - 15.279 g
Diameter - 28 mm
Mint - Rouen (87000 of these were produced)

My first gold coin, so I was very happy! a few modern coins came up and also a copper 16xx 8 maravedis in poor condition.

No mate, Jersey....we are a tiny Island in the Channel in between France and the UK....closer to France though. :-)
