"Fresh" Fresh Peach Pie

"Fresh" Fresh Peach Pie

Servings: 6
Preparation Time: 1 hour
Start to finish: 3 hours

Notes: - The leftover syrup can be refrigerated and served over ice cream or angel food cake.

6 Large Peach, Fresh
1 Cup Sugar
1 Package Sure Gel
8 3/4 Ounces Cling peaaches w/syrup, Frozen
1 Pastry, deep dish, Frozen
1 Teaspoon Lemon juice
1 Pat Butter, Melted
3/4 Cup Water
Whipped topping

1. Pre-bake pie crust as per instructions, spread butter over crust.

2. Peel and pit peaches, slice into chunks, add sugar and lemon juice, Stir and allow to sit for 5 minutes.

3. Combine 3/4 cup water and Sure Gel, bring to a boil and continue boiling for 30 seconds.

4. Puree frozen peaches (unless you can find frozen pureed ones) and add to Sure Gel. Bring to a boil for 30 seconds.

5. Strain peaches, reserving syrup, and place in pie crust.

6. Pour reserved syrup over peaches until crust is full.

7. Refrigerate until cool.

8. Slice and top with whipped topping

Here's an idea. Get David to completely drywall the front of the local Sears store and when they demand to have it taken down, he can call and tell them he's "sick"! :icon_jokercolor:

lol Hopefully he will be sick two weeks in a row then reschedule then not have the part and reschedule again eh? The part is supposed to show up today and they are SUPPOSED to fix it AGAIN on Wednesday....we will see....Sure is getting old! Especially looking at this delicious recipe knowing I still can't bake!

The oven isn't fixed so that means you have to bake the pies! :thumbsup:

You could move...that sounds like your best idea....I hear Missouri people make wonderful neighbors..Hint hint ....and We have peaches and ovens that work.... :wink: and A new addition going up that needs drywalling....LOL

You can find it where the Jello is at the market. It's called "Sure Gel"
